About me
Gabriela Barberena graduated from Texas A&M University’s Bush School of Government and Public Service in 2024 with a Master in Public Service and Administration - Nonprofit Management degree, where she was the Marketing and Communications Director of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Previously a high school teacher, Gabriela sought to serve her students and all students across Texas by addressing root cause issues that created obstacles to learning in her classroom. During her time at Texas A&M, graduating with a BA in 2020 and an MPSA in 2024, she led service efforts in the Brazos Valley through the Memorial Student Center and worked towards homeownership for low-income families through local nonprofit organizations.
